Reed Food and FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a Food Safety & Quality Technologist on a permanent basis to join a well-established business. This is great opportunity to join a family run business who really pride themselves on employee progression. This role will have you reporting to and working alongside an experienced Technical Manager, working all things Specifications.

Job Title: Food Safety & Quality Technologist  

Location: Andover

Pay: £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum, dependant on experience

Immediate Start

Some Responsibilities:

Create, issue, and maintain, all Specification details for: - Finished goods - Raw materials - Client specification systems - Process specifications.

Assist the technical manager with the following and their associated records: - Supplier risk assessment - Raw materials risk assessment - Allergen matrix & risk assessment - Vulnerability risk assessment.

Manage and maintain all new product technical details and their approvals, such as; new Raw Materials, Quality Attribute documents, Artwork, Labelling.

Develop and manage the Production Batching and Mixing sheets and all associated records.

Skills:

Experienced in maintaining records compliant to Client Codes of Practice or BRCGS (v8 or v9).

Organised, methodical, and motivated to complete tasks with excellent attention to detail.

Qualified to Level 2 Food Safety in Manufacturing or equivalent level in relevant subject.

Capable of raising and resolving issues with colleagues and customers in a professional manner.
