Quantity Surveyor

- Permanent: £40,000 + Benefits Package
- Working Hours: 37.5 per week
- Based in Antrim
We are currently searching for a Quantity Surveyor who is currently working client side or looking to move into client side from the main contracting market. In this role you will be work as part of the commercial team, implementing a £100m aviation capital works programme. These works will include various new build facilities and facilities management contracts across several compounds.
The role:
- Prepare, negotiate and analyse costs for tenders and contracts.
- Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation.
- Managing and valuing variations
- Assist in the production of pre-contract take-off, interim valuations and final accounts.
- Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts
- Support the Projects Manager and Projects Director with the logistical, technical and commercial management of the projects to meet the overall business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and ongoing monitoring of operational and capital annual budgets.
- Assist in the ongoing development and updating of the airport’s Long Term Business Plan.
- Support the project team in the procurement, delivery, and handover of projects to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Assist in the identification and mitigation of risks that may adversely impact project delivery or adversely affect airport operations through the project/programme lifecycle.
- Positively influence key stakeholders (both internal & external) associated with projects.
Experience required:
- 4 + years Quantity Surveying experience working client site or main contractor side.
- Experience in all aspects of Cost Control in construction projects.
- Experience managing and allocating budgets.
- Experience managing contractors and consultants.
- Degree/HNC qualified.
