Hire Controller

Location: Ascot

Salary: £26,000 - £26,500

My client based in Ascot is looking for a Hire Controller to join their team. They ae looking for candidates with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who are familiar with logistics/planning.

Responsibilities:

Communicating with customers in the shop, on the phone and via email.

Proactive in learning about new products.

Taking and processing hire orders and sales for tools and plant hires.

Stocking and maintaining sales goods.

Delivering equipment at busy times.

Keeping work environment clean and tidy

Partaking in promotional events

To prepare daily work schedule for drivers.

To accommodate additional customer orders efficiently daily.

To ensure that the performance of drivers is effectively managed.

To manage holiday schedules and time keeping of all drivers.

To ensure activities within operations are carried out with the highest regard to health and safety and wellbeing of all in accordance with legal, environmental and company policies.

To ensure all vehicles attend the scheduled service intervals and M.O.T’s.

K.P.I objectives to be maintained and improved.

Person Specification:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiar with logistic/planning.

Must be a good team player and work well under own initiative.

Accountable for results and long-term business objectives.

Ability to learn about new products and be aware of competitor information.

Must possess excellent organisational skills, plan and prioritise workloads.

A high level of accuracy is essential, seeking clarity when required and taking responsibility for own work. Resolve problems effectively.

Have a good knowledge of IT systems.

Demonstrate understanding and works to exceed customer expectations.
