As theHGV Mechanicyou will work closely with the Workshop Manager to manage a growing fleet of 40+ wagons by providing routine maintenance, repairs, servicing, and MOT inspections in line with VOSA standards.

Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Perform service, inspection, maintenance and repair across a fleet of 40+ HGVs.
- Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes and tyre rotation.
- Undertake MOT inspections within a timely manner for all HGV vehicles on site.
- Performing minor and major repairs to HGVs as required.
- Carry out welding, fabrication and body repairs as required.
- Carry out periodic safety inspections and completing regular documentation for all HGV vehicles to VOSA inspection manual standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance .
- To assist the Workshop Manager to help control fleet maintenance costs within budgetary requirements.
What we need from you?
- Previous experience in the service, inspection, MOT, fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of HGVs.
- Ability to write concise and clear reports of work carried out and parts used.
