Paraplanning Manager - Ashford - 50K

I am looking to speak with experienced paraplanners who are interested in joining a busy financial planning team in Ashford! Your main responsibility will be to manage and oversee the paraplanning team to ensure that activities are conducted in accordance with internal processes. You will be working within a fast paced, dynamic environment which would suit a technically competent candidate. Candidates will need to have some form of team leader, supervisor/training experience, as a minimum hold the CII Level 4 Diploma.

They have 20 self-employed advisers across the South of England who do their own prospecting and submit a 'paraplanning request’ into the office. They run a 'whitelist’ of approved products/funds from which the adviser or paraplanner will select the most suitable plan. The paraplanner produces the KFI, writes the suitability report and submits it back to the adviser to be presented to the client.

A very high proportion of cases are pre-approved before the adviser can make the recommendation(s). They have a separate Adviser Support team who deal with the implementation of new business applications and the ongoing servicing, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a Paraplanning role within the financial services sector, ideally 5+ years working in a technical capacity.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial planning regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Level 4 Diploma required - all members of the team are Level 4 Diploma Qualified or progressing towards it.

Benefits:

  • Hybrid working
  • Up to 50K salary
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • GPP on the basis of 5% from the employer and 3% from the employee via salary exchange
