Your new role
As the Health &Safety Manager, you will lead the organisation's health and safety function,providing expert advice, strategic direction, and operational guidance. You'llbe responsible for developing and implementing proactive initiatives, conductingaudits and inspections, managing accident investigations, and ensuringcompliance with all relevant legislation. You'll also oversee fire safetyprocedures and collaborate with counterparts in partner organisations toharmonise policies and practices.
Key responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Leading health andsafety strategy and policy development.
  • Advising seniorleadership and attending strategic meetings.
  • Conductinginspections, audits, and accident investigations.
  • Managing fire safetyprotocols and equipment.
  • Ensuring legislativecompliance and liaising with external bodies.
  • Promoting anddelivering health and safety training across the organisation.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful inthis role, you'll need:

  • A Diploma-levelqualification in Health & Safety.
  • Chartered Membershipof IOSH (or working towards it).
  • NEBOSH Fire SafetyCertificate (desirable).
  • Experience in a largepublic sector organisation.
  • Proven ability to leadstrategic health and safety initiatives.
  • Strong communication,interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Confidence andcredibility to influence senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive,innovative approach to problem-solving and change management.
