GSL Education Kent welcomes dedicated individuals to join our team as a Part-time SENCO for a dynamic client school located in Ashford. This exciting opportunity is commencing immediately and is tailored to accommodate a part-time schedule of 3 days a week.

As a SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in promoting inclusive education, providing essential support to students with special educational needs and disabilities.

The school is known for its commitment to fostering a caring and inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to dream big and achieve.

 

As a SENCO, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Support the Assistant Head: SENCo by assisting with responsibilities for PEP meetings.
  • Coordinate with teaching staff to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Assist in the administration of provisions for students with SEND.
  • Tasks include scheduling dedicated support time for students and organize.
  • Take a leading or supporting role in PEP meetings.
  • Contribute insights to the development of different plans.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of student passports to ensure they align with their needs and goals.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in SEN.
  • QTS mandatory
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills, building rapport with students and colleagues alike.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, capable of forming meaningful relationships with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Showcase strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit within an educational setting.
  • Exhibit a deep commitment to equal opportunities and prioritize the well-being of students with SEN.
