The Role:
A leading construction and infrastructure company seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of water mains replacement projects. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of safety, quality, and commercial performance across multiple ongoing projects. This role involves collaboration with engineers, surveyors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project completion that meets or exceeds client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
General Management
路Deliver projects from design to completion, including handover documentation.
路Produce financial forecasts, monitor costs, and report on project performance.
路Plan resources, review budgets, and chair regular site meetings.
路Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and consultants.
路Oversee site investigations and implement cost-effective construction solutions.
路Ensure compliance with project plans, risk assessments, and procurement procedures.
路Maintain detailed site records and prepare estimates for additional work.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
路Lead by example in promoting health, safety, and environmental best practices.
路Keep HSE documentation updated and conduct regular training for the team.
路Ensure subcontractors follow established procedures and standards.
路Produce site-specific environmental risk assessments and waste management plans.
Quality Management
路Manage and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
路Maintain QA documentation and resolve technical queries.
路Submit as-built drawings and O&M manuals upon project completion.
Key Requirements:
Essential
路Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, and cost control.
路Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6).
路Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
路MEICA capabilities.
路Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS Manager's Card, SMSTS, NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
路Strong communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
路Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE).
路Familiarity with the JCT form of contract.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing water infrastructure projects and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to influence and motivate teams are essential.
