Senior Airfreight Export/ Import Clerk

Our client is looking for a Senior Airfreight Export/Import Clerk, with around 5 years’ experience+

Role Purpose:

Working within a busy Air & Ocean department - to work within a team to receive bookings from agents/customers alike, to complete all air export/import requirements including customs clearance, duty/vat and all other processes involved.

Main duties:

• Speaking to customers/agents daily.

• Receiving bookings from customers / agents.

• Raising files within company software system.

• Preparation of clearance instructions.

• Speaking to Company Gateway office, customers, and hauliers.

• Checking flight arrival dates.

• Maintaining customer spreadsheets where required.

• Ensuring correct documentation is presented / obtained.

• Raising invoices to customers / agents.

• Raising duty / vat invoices.

• File queries.

Skills and Experience (e.g. proficient in Microsoft Office, 1-2 years relevant experience etc):

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

Qualifications (e.g. GCSE in Maths and English, Degree, Professional Body Membership etc):

• GSCE in English and Math’s (Grade C and above)

The hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Salary up to £40K depending on experience.
