Senior Town Planner - Kent
Location: Kent (Hybrid Working Available)

Are you an experienced Town Planner ready to take the next step in your career with a well-established and growing planning consultancy? I'm working with a respected national firm that's looking to expand its presence in Kent by bringing on board a talented Senior Town Planner to join their dynamic and collaborative planning team.



About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded planner who enjoys a blend of project management, client interaction, and policy insight. You'll be involved in a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments-supporting high-profile clients across both public and private sectors.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals

  • Advising clients on planning policies and regulations

  • Managing projects from inception to completion

  • Leading on strategic site promotion and development plan representations

  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development



About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Town Planning or related discipline

  • MRTPI accreditation (or working towards it)

  • A strong understanding of the UK planning system

  • Excellent communication and report writing skills

  • Confidence in dealing with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders

  • A proactive, driven approach to business development
