SENIOR FINANCE ACCOUNTANT

• Location: Aylesbury
• Job Type: Full-time (8am - 5pm - office based)
• Salary Range: £40000-£50000

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in industry accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. This role involves working with a dynamic team, managing various accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Process and reconcile payments, ensuring import/export compliance, particularly within the EU (Essential)
• Generate and review monthly and annual financial reports.
• Maintain compliance with internal accounting procedures and review work to correct any mistakes.
• Understand the overall impact of financial decisions within the company.
• Work effectively within a team environment and manage a range of accounting functions.
• Create policies and risk reports, managing bank relationships, and conducting financial analysis.
• Handle month-end close under strict deadlines and perform complex intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, liaise with HMRC, and manage multi-currency, multi-location, and shared service accounting tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Accounting (M.Com, AAT, ACCA, or ACA).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role within the industry.
• Strong analytical skills and financial reporting knowledge dealing with the EU
• Proficiency in Microsoft NAV or Business Central.
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
• Experience with AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, and VAT compliance.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage team activities.
• Experience working in a multi-currency, multi-location, and shared service environment.
