There are two part-time Housekeeping supervisor roles within the Housekeeping department. They are responsible for completing consistent and thorough cleaning of visitor, staff, and accommodation areas across the Manor during opening hours and across the seven-day operation. The roles also share the responsibility for providing additional support for residential properties across the site, and are expected to maintain high standards of excellence, integrity, and discretion in servicing these properties. This specialist cleaning is expected to take an average of 5 hours (1day) per fortnight.

The part-time Housekeeping Supervisor role is a highly autonomous role, reporting into the Head of Housekeeping. The roles support the two full-time Housekeeping Supervisors who oversee the four part-time Housekeeping Assistants who clean at the Manor outside of opening hours.


Key Responsibilities:
This role required working on your own throughout the shift. The main areas of responsibility are as follows:
Manor:
  • Cleaning allocated areas to the highest possible standard in the Manor, as directed by the Head of Housekeeping and Supervisors.
  • Ensuring that the presentation of the areas for which they are responsible is cleaned to the highest standard. 
  • Throughout the day, continuously checking the public toilets and other areas, ensuring toilet roles and paper towels are always available, floors are clean and soap dispensers are topped up.
  • Ensuring that the cleaning stock cupboards are properly stocked.
  • As appropriate, during the absence of another team member, covering that team member’s areas of responsibility in addition to their own, in agreement with the Head of Housekeeping and full-time Supervisors.
  • Reporting any maintenance or security issues to the Head of Housekeeping and full-time Supervisors.
  • As required, help out at other areas around the Property, as directed by the Head of Housekeeping and full-time Supervisors.
  • Present a friendly and welcoming manner to all visitors during the course of the day. You should be able to assist visitors with good general knowledge of the property in order to provide suggestions and directions, as required
  • Develop excellent working relationships with all departments and ensure that communications are efficient and friendly.
  • Six weeks out of the year, you will be required to cover the annual leave of the Housekeeper for the London offices. Travel expenses will be paid and full training will be provided to cover this area.

Private Estate:
  • Vacuum, mop, and dust all surfaces and floors, ensuring all are maintained to the highest level of cleanliness.
  • Clean and restock all bathrooms.
  • change all bed linens and towels on a regular basis, ensuring any dirty linens are promptly washed, dried, and stored appropriately.
  • Undertake laundering, ironing, and hanging of personal clothes.
  • Prepare for visitor arrival, welcome them, and see to their various requests as relating to housekeeping.
  • Make household purchases, including overseeing grocery orders and deliveries.
  • Cleaning and care of household valuables, artwork and rugs, ensuring the correct cleaning procedures are applied to each.
  • Undertake flower arranging and table setting, working with the Eythrope Gardens Team for the supply of in-season flowers.
  • Reporting household maintenance issues to the Estate Facilities Department and supervising contractors when at the property, as required.
  • From time to time, complete any washing up, as directly by the Head of Housekeeping.
  • Undertake any other cleaning tasks, as directed by the Head of Housekeeping.

From time to time there will be a need to work during evening events on both the public and private side of the estate. Notice will be provided and TOIL given for nay additional hours worked.
