As part of our continued expansion, the opportunity has arisen for 4 multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers with solid engineering knowledge to join our team in Aylesbury and ensure the highest standards possible for production reliability, wastage and cost effectiveness.

The role will be on a shift pattern of 4 days on 4 days off, 05.00am - 17.00pm.

As Maintenance Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for performing fault finding, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of machinery and systems. Knowledge of blending vessels, pumps, filling machines, cartoners, ink jet printing and packaging equipment in a clean room environment is highly beneficial, as well as implementing preventative maintenance procedures to minimise downtime and maintain product quality.

Your role in detail:

  • Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment,
    including but not limited to production lines, and packaging machinery.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses, equipment malfunctions, performing repairs and
    replacements as needed.
  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to minimise equipment
    downtime and optimise production efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure smooth manufacturing
    processes. Contributes towards the continuous improvement of processes and site
    services.
  • Reports and communicates all maintenance issues effectively at all levels.
  • Ensures all work undertaken is recorded and the record kept and made available
    for audit purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history and spare parts inventory.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keep up to date with advancements in maintenance technologies and techniques.


Requirements:

  • Operational experience gained post apprenticeship.
  • An electrical background with an 18th edition electrical qualification is preferable.
  • Proven experience as Maintenance Engineer/Technician in a high volume/high
    speed production or manufacturing facility.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible to work on a rotating shift pattern and respond to emergencies if required.
