Freight Pricing Analyst
Company Overview: Our client is a specialist logistics company focusing on customs clearance of eCommerce parcels and mail to and from the UK. Due to ongoing success and profitable business wins, we are seeking an experienced Freight Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team.
Role Overview:
As a Freight Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for negotiating logistics contracts, freight rates, and customs services. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to maximize opportunities, analyze data to identify new opportunities, and work closely with the sales and senior management team to secure new business.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Liaison: Build relationships with customers and suppliers to become the preferred supplier.
- Systems/Software Knowledge: Utilize in-house systems to process customer bookings.
- Customs & Operational Compliance: Ensure compliance with country and local customs requirements.
- Planning: Plan and prioritize customer requests within SLAs.
- Commercial Awareness: Use current carrier rates to ensure a positive margin.
- Procurement: Review carrier performance and maintain rates.
- New Quotations: Receive and action new quotations according to customer instructions.
- Client Rates: Assist in maintaining client rates within the system.
- Costings: Manage costings module to ensure correct rates are saved.
- Customs Compliance: Have a good understanding of customs procedures and documentation requirements.
Position Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Freight Pricing Analyst role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong team player.
Remuneration:
- Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 (Dependent on experience)
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm, 30 mins for lunch
- Holidays: 20 days holiday + bank holidays rising 1 day per year
- Pension: Company pension scheme
- Other: Parking on site, brand new office environment
