We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Procurement Specialist to support our continued growth in a role that involves managing purchasing activities, handling logistics processes, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Direct Procurement: Manage the full purchasing cycle, including raising and processing purchase orders for office, laboratory, and R&D needs. Serve as the main point of contact for suppliers to ensure timely communication and follow-up on equipment, materials, and service requirements.
- Indirect Procurement: Handle indirect categories such as business travel arrangements, coordinating cleaning services, and managing office equipment.
- Supplier & Service Coordination: Liaise with vendors to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and manage equipment maintenance contracts and service agreements.
- Logistics: Coordinate order shipments and deliveries, including creating shipping labels (DHL, FedEx, etc.), managing customs documentation when needed, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods in collaboration with the production and sales teams.
- Inventory & Supplies Management: Monitor and maintain office inventory levels to ensure essential supplies are readily available.
- Office Management: Oversee the day-to-day office environment to maintain a safe and functional workspace.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to various departments as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or administrative roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Zoho, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, service providers, and internal teams.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with keen attention to detail.
- Must be able to work on-site in Oxford during the 3-month probation period of role.
