£30k – £38k DOE + company car + overtime OTE £50k+

Maidstone (on-site, office based, and overseas travel)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client’s team as a Design Engineer.

This role is ideal for an Engineering graduate with experience within the power or petrochemical industry.

If you have a degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, and are looking to showcase your skillset for a reputable organisation and further develop your career, then LOOK NO FURTHER!

As a Design Engineer for this forward-thinking company, you will be:

  • Working both in the office and on site with opportunities to travel overseas.
  • Following technical drawings from clients to meet their exact product expectations as well as liaising with the client queries face to face, over the phone, and via email.
  • Carrying out site visits and surveys pre-contract, as well as mid-contract to ensure smooth running of the projects and completing final reports upon completion of projects.
  • Identifying equipment requirements for projects and arranging transportation for them.
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are being adhered to at all times and maintaining up to date records and documentation.
  • Liaising with the office to report project updates.
  • Reporting any equipment defects that may occur to ensure it can be repaired or replaced.
  • Any other duties required.

To be successful you will have/be:

  • A Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree ideally but other Engineering disciplines will be considered.
  • Experience working within the power or petrochemical industry would be highly advantageous.
  • AutoCAD experience and be computer literate with MS Office.
  • Willing to work both on-site, in the office, travel overseas, and work night shifts on occasions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment to keep up with demands.
  • Strong communication skills
  • A full, clean, UK driving licence.
