A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a CNC Setter/ Operator and Programmer for a permanent contract on behalf of our client based in Aylesford, Kent.Â
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling and fixtures.
- Program CNC machines using CAM software to generate toolpaths and optimize machining processes.
- Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to quality standards and production requirements.
- Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed to ensure smooth production flow.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, including tooling setups, program revisions, and production logs.
Requirements :
- Experience of 3 or 5 axis CNC machining.
- Experience of CAM software Powermill preferred.
- Good attention to detail.
- Practical skills and experience with hand tools and machinery such as a Band saw.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings.
- Understanding of inspection measuring equipment.
- Have good communication skills.
- Heidenhain TNC controls.
Hours :
Monday to Friday 7/8am to 3/4pmÂ
Overtimes available.
