Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Support and coach managers to strengthen their HR knowledge and effectively resolve employee issues.
- Lead on absence and welfare case management, including occupational health referrals and ongoing support.
- Promote employee wellbeing initiatives and manage the relationship with external occupational health providers.
- Advise on performance management, learning and development needs, and role development; contribute to wider engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support cohesive communication and aligned HR practices.
- Liaise with payroll and finance to address pay queries, support salary benchmarking, and oversee contract and benefits administration.
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures; support training delivery and ensure ongoing legislative compliance.
- Support the development of recruitment and retention strategies; ensure processes are robust, effective, and audit-ready.
- Produce regular HR reports, analyse workforce data, and assist with statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, health and safety standards, and data protection regulations.
- Provide effective HR service delivery that aligns with budget targets and performance indicators.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, representing the HR function with professionalism.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a regulated or fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and influence at all levels.
- Confident managing complex casework and interpreting HR data.
- CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD qualification is highly desirable.
