Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs A-C or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a social care role.
  • Valid Driver's license is required
  • Be proficient with IT systems
  • NISCC registration is required
  • Postgraduate training and /or experience in relevant courses
  • Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and

compliance due to the nature of this work

  • Up to date Immunization records to complete a full occupational health review
  • Ability to build rapport with ease
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment

Responsibilities

  • Have an understanding of how to respond and report robustly and effectively to disclosures and

concerns of abuse

  • Deliver a service, which meets all organizational and professional responsibilities
  • Have an awareness of policies and procedures in respect of Child Abuse Investigation and Joint

Protocol procedure

  • Assist with the supervision of the young people's clothing, furnishings and household equipment

and undertake household and domestic duties

  • Support the young people by undertaking their general supervision and be involved in their

educational work and leisure activities

  • Accompany the young people, when required, on leisure activities, holidays, outings and visits

including attendance at appropriate church services

  • Transport young people to/ from school, on activities, outings etc.
  • Promote or undertake personal care duties in the case of young people with a disability where

required

  • Promote and implement a Positive Behaviour Support model and child centred approach
  • Contribute to, and participate in, reviews, staff meetings, in-service training, supervision and

individual programmes of care in respect of the young people.
