Our client are a world leader in providing automated solutions into the hospitality, healthcare and textiles sectors. This role will be responsible for the design and lay out of overhead metal structures.
Responsibilities – Design Engineer
- Generating contract specific designs
- Detail drawings, Bill of Materials and documentation as required,
- Structural Steel frame
- Sorting equipment and Arrangements
- Sorting platforms
- Supplementary Steelwork
- Rail & Suspension
- Identify Means of Access & Consideration for Installation and Maintenance.
- Identify country variations that may affect project, design or cost
- Progress updates.
- Maintain documented record of changes and identify project design creep
- Support in communication, direct with the local agent or customer
- Attending on-site meetings, or site visits to verify measurements
Qualification/Experience – Design Engineer
- ONC, NVQ level 3, HNC in an mechanical design engineering discipline.
- 2D & 3D CAD
- Tekla Structures
- Light to medium engineered products
- BS8888 drafting standards
- Creating Technical documentation
- Portfolio with examples of detailed engineering drawings
- Competent in using CAD systems producing both 2D and 3D output
- Competent in producing detailed models, general layouts and production drawings using Tekla Structures
- Knowledge of BS EN ISO standards
