We are looking for a CNC Milling Machinist to fully machine complex components and ensure quality and on time delivery. To work in a safe and flexible manner as part of a team with a very high level of housekeeping.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Fully machine parts as required using 3-axis and 5-axis VMC’s.
  • Ensure quality of parts is to a high standard..
  • Ensure on time delivery
  • Ability to load offline programs and liaise with production engineer to optimise set up
  • Save all programs and set up sheets after every job.
  • Assist Shift leaders and engineers with any tooling or material requirements.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Work within a team environment.
  • Safe operations of machines, tools and equipment.
  • A very high level of housekeeping must be seen at all times in workshops and around machines.

Due to the nature of the role and the working patterns at Prodrive this role could operate as a shift pattern or, within Prodrive’s standard shift pattern of Monday to Friday.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Apprentice trained/NVQ’s or City and Guilds.
  • Knowledge of Matsuura, DMG or Colchester machines preferable.
  • A working knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
  • Background within a small batch / prototype-manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred industry would be Motorsport, Aerospace or research and development.
  • Flexible attitude is essential.
  • A positive outlook and pro-active approach to the requirements of all areas of the AT operations.
  • Ability to work reliably under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • May be required to work extended hours or weekends.
  • Naturally well organised individual.
  • Good communicator.
