Role: Section Engineer

Company: Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor

Location: Chipping Warden, Oxfordshire

Day rate: 400 - 450 PAYE

Project: HS2

Randstad is currently looking for a Section Engineer to work with a well established Civil Engineering Contractor working on HS2 in Chipping Warden.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dedicated team of engineers and technicians within your section, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient project delivery.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of critical engineering tasks, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, stakeholders, and subcontractors to drive progress and resolve any challenges that may arise.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to monitor construction activities, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions.
  • Utilise your expertise to optimise work flows, streamline processes, and achieve project milestones within budget and schedule constraints.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams towards shared goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, construction techniques, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies for project management and design analysis.
