Coventry Reed Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be representing a company within the financial sector.
Our client are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their business. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the procurement of goods & services and management of supply & service contracts for our client’s business.
Procurement Manager’s duties include:
- Provide technical and commercial procurement expertise to key business projects across all categories (IT, Marketing, Facilities Management, HR).
- Deliver cost reduction and cost savings opportunities
- Implement a category management approach and build a level of control across designated areas of contracted spend.
- Negotiation with existing and new suppliers to ensure the best service and value
- Implement procurement policies and procedures, in line with best professional practices/legal frameworks.
- Promote internal understanding of the procurement lifecycle
- Ability to read, interpret and review contracts highlighting commercial implications and risks to the business
- Lead on Environmental Social Governance activities
Procurement Manager person specification:
- Experience of procurement in the following areas: IT, Marketing, Facilities Management, HR
- Track record of having delivered savings including Opex, Capex, cost avoidance, revenue improvements
- Negotiation skills.
- Understanding and experience of multiple contract law
- Stakeholder engagement experience
- Experience of having effectively delivered a category management strategy
