Facilities Manager Required At A Secondary School In Barking

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Normal Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (may vary)

Salary: £35,000 upwards (based on experience)

A vibrant secondary school in Barking is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Facilities Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school facilities, creating a safe and conducive environment for our students and staff to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the maintenance and security of the school premises and grounds.
  • Conducting regular health and safety checks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Managing a team of 3 Caretakers, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Coordinating maintenance and repair works, liaising with external contractors as necessary.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure optimal facility management.
  • Handling administrative tasks including paperwork and record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • IT literacy, with proficiency in administrative tasks and health and safety checks.
  • Ability to work flexibly, adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
