Are you a passionate Biology Teacher with a real knack for inspiring young minds to explore the wonders of the living world? We're on the lookout for a fantastic temporary part-time teacher to join our Outstanding mixed school in Barnet, starting as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your enthusiasm and deepen our students' appreciation for biological concepts.
What you'll be doing:
- You'll be designing and delivering captivating Biology lessons, sparking curiosity about everything from microscopic cells to complex ecosystems.
- It's all about guiding our students through diverse biological topics, encouraging scientific investigation, and fostering critical thinking skills.
- You'll cultivate a vibrant and inquiry-based learning environment where students feel genuinely engaged and excited to learn.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a genuine specialism in Biology.
- Ideally, you'll have some experience teaching engaging and effective Biology lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A deep and current understanding of biological principles, plus that unique ability to make the subject accessible and truly relevant.
- Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a safe pair of hands for practical experiments!
