Project Manager job vacancy working in the Project Management team at a large engineering, defence and electronics business.

70,000 salary, plus group pension, health scheme, cycle scheme and schemes to help with car leasing, holidays and other discount reward schemes.

The Project Manager job is part of the Project Management team. You will contribute to the project lifecycle from bid stage onwards into design and manufacturing. As Project Manager you will:

• Help to feasibility of new projects before accepting the contract.
• Review projects estimates, budgets and timescales.
• Report project progress and milestones.
• Coordinate activities between different departments to ensure project milestones are met.
• Attend weekly production, supply chain and logistics meetings to agree coordinates actions.
• Identify project risk and associated risk mitigation.
• Communicate and meet customers and colleagues to update all parties on projects.

Skills and experience for the Project Manager role include:

• Project Management and Project Risk Management experience.
• Prince2 or APM or similar.
• Professional communications skills.
• Project planning and influencing skills to ensure project plans are met.
• Knowledge of Lifecycle Management, budgets and costings.
• The ability to work with customers and colleagues to keep them updated, influence outcomes and agree actions.
