The Role: As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the well-being and development of the students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing Team Teach strategies to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students, addressing their emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and maintain individual support plans.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and social skills through targeted interventions and activities.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, reporting to senior staff as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Team Teach trained with a solid understanding of its principles and techniques.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification desirable.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly those with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the holistic development of every student.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
