An Exciting opportunity has arrived for an Adults Social Worker is required for a Front Door Team for an Authority in South Yorkshire.

They require a social worker who can support the Front Door in adult social care with screening safeguarding referrals and making timely decisions, in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

You will also be part of a rapid response service that undertakes face-to-face visits to assess the needs and risks of adults who are experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect when required and provide appropriate advice and support.

The team is also responsible for triaging incoming work to adult social care and ensuring that referrals are directed to the most suitable service or team.

The role involves close work with South Yorkshire Police including reviewing DASH and Vulnerable Adults referrals.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
