Boden Group deliver facilities maintenance services and project works to the Ministry of Defence and commercial clients at multiple sites in the South West and South East.

We are looking for a Handy Person to join the Mobile Team.

Main Duties of the role:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting, patching walls, and repairing fixtures.
  • Performing maintenance tasks and repairs on building fabrics, including but not limited to, carpentry, painting, fixing, and installation duties.
  • Undertaking basic plumbing tasks, such as fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and replacing taps.
  • Conducting inspections to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards.
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and prioritise tasks based on urgency.
  • Troubleshooting and repair minor plumbing and electrical issues.
  • Installing and repairing doors, locks, windows, and other building fixtures.
  • Assisting with the setup and teardown of equipment for projects.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of maintenance equipment and storage areas.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting other team members with maintenance projects as needed.
  • Providing excellent customer service to clients and promptly address any concerns or complaints.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including the use of a computerised maintenance management system.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and following safety protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • First aid at work
  • Driving licence

Desirable

  • First aid at Work
  • Carpentry L1 & L2
  • Experience in fire door maintenance and installation
  • IPAF
  • PASMA
  • Experience within FM or Construction
