About the Role: We are excited to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Barnstaple on a full-time, permanent basis. As an integral member of our team, you'll receive a competitive salary ranging from 31,767 to 35,878 per annum, along with a guaranteed standby allowance (working a 1 in 8 rotation) and additional payments for call-outs and overtime opportunities, totaling an additional 1,200 per year. You'll also receive a company van and a comprehensive range of excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of fault finding, repairing, and maintaining assets across various operational sites for both Drinking Water Services and Waste Water Services.
  • Execute planned work derived from maintenance schedules on operational assets, ensuring services are provided to high standards in a sustainable manner.
  • Utilize your expertise to diagnose faults, carry out repairs and maintenance across operational sites, and collaborate with other disciplines in a mobile field team.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders affected by any work undertaken and compile or update site engineering documentation to support operational functions.

Requirements:

  • Essential: compliance with current IEE Regs 18th Edition;
  • City & Guilds in Electrical installation or NVQ 3
  • Experience in Maintenance
  • Desirable: 2391 Test & Inspect
  • Desirable: Industrial/commercial experience; experience with VSDs, soft starts, and motor control systems; understanding of wiring diagrams; knowledge of working with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS); good working knowledge of LV systems (415vac down to 24vac and dc control and indication).
