Your new role

We are currently recruiting for supply teachers in the North Devon area, where Hays is working in partnership with a number of schools as their primary source of supply teachers. Supply teaching with Hays offers you complete control and flexibility, meaning you choose the days you are available and locations you are willing to travel to. All lesson plans are provided, and marking is not required. This enables you to focus on the teaching itself and leave at the end of the school day with no work to take home. Hays can also offer a guaranteed payment scheme to give you that added security. Supply teaching with Hays would suit both experienced teachers who are looking to reduce their workload and early career teachers who are seeking to gain crucial classroom experience. We work with some fantastic schools in the North Devon area and aim to match you with the schools that suit you.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will need to be a qualified teacher with relevant qualifications, references, and eligibility to work in the UK. In order to register with Hays, you will be required to provide proof of identification, teaching qualifications, a recent proof of address, teaching or placement references from within the last 5 years, and an overseas police check if applicable. We can help you obtain a new DBS if necessary. Flexibility in this role is desired, including the ability to adapt your teaching techniques to suit the needs of your students. Demonstrating professional conduct at all times is essential, which includes adhering to all safeguarding policies. We welcome applicants who are currently working for other agencies and can offer guaranteed contracts offering financial security.

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive rates of pay.
  • Holiday pay and pension contributions.
  • 250 in shopping vouchers for teachers who sign up and complete 21 days with Hays.
  • Ongoing support from consultants with extensive educational knowledge.
  • Refer-a-Friend scheme worth 250 in high street vouchers.
  • Guaranteed payment scheme.
