JOB OVERVIEW

To align with the company’s ambitious plans for growth and build the best team in the industry, we now have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Planning Supervisor with experience in aircraft maintenance planning and a proven track record of planning complex work packs.

Working as the Planning Supervisor you will support the Head of Planning in planning all maintenance requirements in accordance with the MPD, AMP and customer requisites, ensuring compliance with all airworthiness requirements so as to maximise aircraft serviceability.

As the Planning Supervisor you will also be responsible for leading a high-performing team with the aim of delivering key planning processes and demonstrating compliance with Part 145 regulations.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Planning Supervisor will include:

  • Supporting the Head of Planning in supervising and managing the smooth running of the planning operation across the Company
  • Mentoring team members to develop both technical and interpersonal skills
  • Ensuring all company procedures and compliance standards are complied with when planning Maintenance tasks
  • Leading the planning function to ensure aircraft maintenance work-packs are accurately planned and produced to support the customer list of requirements and are delivered to the Production team in a timely manner
  • Leading and supporting the Production Planning team to ensure all A/C tasks are completed and recorded correctly, adhering to customer and regulatory requirements
  • Overseeing the Planning operation in terms of allocating work and authorising annual leave requests
  • Working flexibly and planning aircraft inputs with the Planning Engineers as and when required
  • Supporting Production Planning to deliver the CRS, when required
  • Supporting the Planning Engineers with Customer pre-input meetings
  • Supporting Production Planning team with daily meetings
  • Co-ordinating third-party inputs as required and managing the liaison process between the company and third-party representatives
  • Conducting audits of pre-issue work packs
  • Supporting Planning Manager with conducting regular departmental audits
  • Managing Company databases to ensure hours on task cards are constantly updated and accurate, reflecting current best practice within an MRO environment
  • Responsible for planning and Production Planning resourcing requirements for each work pack

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance planning
  • Proven track record of planning complex work packs
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience of managing a planning function
  • Excellent understanding of EASA Part 145 Regulations
  • Proven track record of working with a CAMO
  • Good knowledge of health and safety requirements within an aviation engineering environment
  • A relevant project management qualification
