Reed Engineering are currently working with a growing automated machinery manufacturer who are looking for an Automation Technician to join their team.
The company make specialist automated production lines for high compliance sectors such as pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.The successful candidate will be working alongside the automation team to gain experience on companies machinery controls systems and design.
Full training will be provided to ensure that you can familiarise yourself with specialist products the company supplies.In this role you will be working electricians and control panel builders to support with the design and build of the control systems and machine builds.
Key responsibilities/duties:- Designing PLC based electrical control systems from design specifications.- Programming PLC, Touchscreen, and Safety Configurable relay systems.- Configuring Remote I/O, servo motor and inverter drives- Integrating ancillary equipment into the production lines such as vision systems etc.- Fault finding electrical control systems, PLC, and hardwired systems- Commissioning, support, and service work at customers’ sites
Once fully trained the successful candidate will begin managing their own projects from initial design through to commissioning.Additional details:37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday) element of flexibility on start and finish timesSalary £35,000 - £45,000 per annumCompetitive pension scheme and other benefitsOnsite parking
