Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer required for my client based in Basildon, who would be responsible for the design and development of high value special purpose machinery, predominantly within the automotive industry.

The successful electrical design engineer will be in a client facing role in the development, design and co-ordination of engineering projects.

The position would suit an individual who has worked a similar "hands on" role and is proficient in the use of EPLAN.

Electrical Design Engineer Position Overview

• Use of the EPLAN.
• Create, update and modify existing designs.
• Obtaining quotes and communicating with suppliers on technical issues
• Answering internal queries during manufacture, build and installation
• Preparing and maintaining documentation and records to a `Quality Operating System'
• Preparing and maintaining Excel documents for internal recording of items such as Drawing updates, issue decks, supplier specifications etc.

Electrical Design Engineer Position Requirements

• HNC or BEng in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience preferably with automotive industry experience.
• Experience using EPLAN.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team or under their own initiative
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise own workload whilst working on multiple concurrent projects
• Based within a commutable distance of Basildon.
• Full UK driving licence is beneficial.

Electrical Design Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary - £40,000 to £45,000 - dependent upon skill, qualifications and experience
• Working Hours - 37.5 Hours, Hybrid Working WFH 2 days subject to workload
• Holiday package - 25 Days plus 1 extra day each year up to 30 Days
• Other additional benefits - Company performance Bonus. Overtime paid 1 ½ Hourly Rate.
