Reed Engineering are currently working with a growing Electronics Manufacturer who specialise in subcontract work for a variety of industries including Aerospace, Defence, Military and Medical.

They are currently looking to recruit a Production engineer to join their growing team.

Key responsibilities:• Work with production and other members of the engineering team on improving assembly processes.• Creation and approval of production assembly documents.• Creation of Jigs and fixtures to aid assembly in production.• Maintain document control on the production floor.• Ensure customer data is controlled and processed as per ECN, permit and concession processes.• Communicate with customers to resolve any build issues.• Implement equipment control calibration and labelling processes.• Support production with machine breakdowns.• Design and print production labels.• Investigate and resolve production queries.• Identify unlabelled component parts for stores.• New Product Introduction• Creation of BOM and production routes

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements:• Degree/HND/HNC in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience• Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.• Experience with tooling design and implementation• Ability to make decisions under pressure.• Knowledge of automation technology in a manufacturing environment• Experience of High-Volume Manufacture and lean manufacturing techniques• Proficient computer skills• Ability to problem-solving skills and think critically.• Experience of medical manufacturing industry• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
