The Financial Accountant will play a significant role in providing accurate financial reporting and supporting the finance team in a fast-paced industrial/manufacturing environment. This role is based in Basingstoke and ideal for someone with strong accounting skills and an eye for detail.

Description
- Month end process including journal preparation, review of TB, completion of monthly accounts pack and variance analysis.
- Production, review and analysis of management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Completion of the weekly cash forecasting
- Review and analyse spend on key accounts for senior management.
- Prepare and submit the quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage Capex spend and recording of assets and inventory.
- Handle R&D tax credit claim.
- Manage and support the annual external and internal audits for SOX compliance
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset, proactively seeking to make our processes more efficient and effective.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Costpoint experience will be highly advantageous)
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Job Offer
- A competitive salary in the range of £49,500 - £55,000 per annum.
