Robertson Bell is excited to be partnering with a well-established social housing provider to recruit a Management Accountant in a permanent capacity. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic finance team, helping oversee month end procedures, streamline reporting processes, and support various HR/Finance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the month end process, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and flash reporting.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, working with a variety of teams to ensure accurate financials (e.g., P&Ls, cost centres).

  • Assist on the quarterly and year-end reporting cycles.

  • Assist in streamlining financial reporting through Power BI, while continuing to support legacy Excel and PowerPoint reporting.

  • Collaborate closely with HR/Finance operations teams to support high-volume, high-paced activities, with a focus on cost control and efficient resource allocation.

  • Engage with key stakeholders (regional directors, heads of departments) to provide insightful financial analysis and advice on budget management.

Person Specification
  • Qualifications: Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with extensive experience in management accounting, ideally within a large organisation.

  • Technical Experience: Strong track record in completing the entire month end process from start to finish.

  • Experience: Background in managing complex budgets and financial reporting, with specific focus on capex/opex and balance sheet management. Familiarity with budget loading processes and financial systems is key.

  • Attributes: Strategic thinking with the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adept at managing multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
