Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage annual service charge budgets for a portfolio of properties, ensuring all estimates are accurate, well-documented, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
- Conduct year-end financial reconciliations, comparing actual costs against budgeted figures, and calculating balancing charges or credits with precision.
- Produce and issue detailed service charge statements to residents, ensuring clarity, transparency, and full audit compliance.
- Analyse financial data from multiple systems, identifying discrepancies, variances, and trends, and taking corrective action where necessary.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including reconciliations, audit trails, and internal controls, supporting the integrity of financial reporting.
- Interpret and resolve complex financial queries from residents and stakeholders, providing clear, professional responses both in writing and over the phone.
- Support internal projects by representing the service charge function, contributing financial insights and ensuring accurate reporting throughout.
- Collaborate with finance, housing, and property teams to ensure service charge processes are integrated, efficient, and aligned with organisational goals.
