Description
- Work together with 3rd party vendors, architects and project managers to deliver solution to business requirements.
- Embed security standards and monitor adherence to them.
- Azure Infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Azure Infrastructure monitoring and logging, ensuring key services such as backups security products operate effectively.
- Develop effective troubleshooting practices, improve stability and performance, and optimize the company's IT environment.
- Plan infrastructure and system updates, and implementation of new elements - both hardware and software - into the existing IT environment.
- Create and regularly update technical documentation for infrastructure, issue, problem-solving guidelines, infrastructure upgrade plans and technical requirements to a high standard.
- Act as a technical lead on infrastructure projects and problem escalation.
- Support Infrastructure Manager with the development and support of the IT infrastructure. This includes working across the full infrastructure stack including on-premise servers, storage, networking, security, and cloud.
- Provide 3rd line support for incidents and complex requests escalated from the service delivery.
- Identify and deliver continuous improvements to the Incident and problem process and procedures.
Profile
Technical Skills:
- Experience with deployment of resources within Azure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft's Azure suite of services.
- Experience with configuration, setup and testing of IP services.
- Familiar with use of deployment scripts.
- Familiar with deployment of Azure VMs.
- Understanding of Azure backup/restore services.
- Good knowledge of Network will be needed as well - LAN/WAN, MPLS, ExpressRoute, Azure WAN, IPVPN, network integration with cloud services.
Proven track record:
- A deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, including building and deploying cloud infrastructures. Ideally, using infrastructure as code to provision, configuring, and manage components.
- Experience of delivering IT incident and problem management activities.
- A good understanding of enterprise IT services.
- Able to work with a wide variety of technologies to a high standard.
- Ability to produce accurate and concise technical documentation.
- Ability to assess the business and technical impact of changes to IT services.
- Developed ability to plan, research and problem solve.
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders in a multinational context.
- Ability to respond constructively to ambiguity and changing requirements.
- Experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
