Laboratory Technician, up to £40,000 pa depending on experience, Monday to Friday, 40.5 hours per week, 33 days’ holiday + excellent benefits, Permanent.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at an Engineering Company that specialises in the Aerospace, defence, and commercial sectors. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting process control with all chemical solutions, carrying out sample collection and analysis, and producing accurate documentation, trend analysis, and New Production Introduction reports. You will need to be self-sufficient and have experience working in a Materials Lab. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and monitoring chemical tank levels and making necessary additions.
- Ensuring proper stock control of chemicals.
- Performing pH control and chemical analysis.
- Conducting tests on test panels, hardness, salt spray, and coating weight.
- Conducting electrical insulation and conductivity testing.
- Providing advice on Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) when discrepancies occur.
- Writing comprehensive reports.
- Assisting with Internal Audits, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and REACH compliance.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our expanding company. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Chemistry, with previous experience in the Aerospace or plating industries. A strong command of English, Science, and Math at the GCSE level, or equivalent, is also required. Additionally, we are looking for candidates with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent attention to detail.
