M365 Lead Infrastructure Engineer

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer (M365) position will be instrumental in shaping and implementing transformative changes to the technology services provided across the business.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure & Applications, this role is an integral part of the leadership team, providing strategic direction for the broader Delivery & Operations function.

Lead Infrastructure Engineer (M365) Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in engineering across a diverse technology stack, encompassing on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
  • Provide effective leadership for your technical and functional areas, driving continuous improvement, and embedding best practices, processes, and methods.
  • Ensure operational IT Service Delivery within your purview, aligning services with agreed-upon service levels, standards, and policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Portfolio team to plan and deliver projects in your domain, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and adherence to project delivery and assurance frameworks.

Lead Infrastructure Engineer (M365) experience required:

  • Experience in managing Microsoft 365 projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope and schedule.
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders and manage organisational change, particularly related to Microsoft 365 initiatives, facilitating smooth transitions for end-users.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and addressing areas for improvement within teams.
