Our client are a bespoke sub-contract and supply only specialist joinery contractors who manufacture and install all aspects of bespoke joinery and associated trades. They are currently recruiting for a Warehouse/Van Driver to join their dedicated team in Battle, East Sussex.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a similar role, experience of Forklift Driving, must hold a Valid, Clean full Driving Licence, be computer literate and have a strong attention to detail. As a Warehouse/Van Driver you will be responsible for the wrapping of bespoke joinery items and ensuring the items are wrapped correctly prior to dispatch as well as the general good housekeeping of the companies’ manufacturing facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Demonstrable experience within a similar role
- Experience of Forklift Driving (training can be provided)
- Must hold a Valid, Clean full Driving Licence
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Be computer literate
Your duties as a Warehouse/Van Driver would be:
- Ensuring all wrapped joinery is correctly marked up with company labels and corresponding paperwork
- Follow procedures to ensure the correct level of protective wrapping is provided to all outgoing works
- Undertake user checks and inspection of machinery, forklift trucks and vehicles prior to use
- Undertake minor building works as required
- Complete quality control records
- Follow Works Manager and Area Foreman’s instructions
- Drive company delivery vehicles as and when required
- Keeping the workshop, communal areas and external areas clean and tidy as required
- Follow the company procedures relating to Quality, Health and Safety and Environment (QHSE)
Salary:
£12.79 per hour
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday, 7.30am – 5pm and Friday 7.30am – 1pm
- Temp to Perm
