Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable computer science teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate would be passionate about technology and coding and teaching their students new skills that can be used in real life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective computer science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school activities and events.
  • Build positive relations with each class to encourage engagement.
  • Communicate with parents about behaviour if necessary and on parent’s evenings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching computer science at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
