Job Title: Â Design/Food technology Teacher (GCSE level).
Salary: Â MPS.
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: September 2025
Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Design/Food technology teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate would be passionate their subject and enjoying teaching students the craft and skills to use outside of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective design/food technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies.
- Participate in school activities and events.
- Build positive relations with each class to encourage engagement.
- Communicate with parents about behaviour if necessary and on parent’s evenings.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in design/food technology at the secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
