Are you a seasoned construction professional looking for a challenging leadership role? I'm currently recruiting for a leading civil engineering contractor as they embark on new projects under a multi-billion pound Framework for their client SSE.

I'm searching for a highly experienced Senior Site Agent to join the team to work on the ASTI Framework. Here's why this opportunity could be the next step in your career:

Role Overview: As a Senior Site Agent, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of substations from ECI stages right through to project delivery. You'll play a pivotal role in leading site teams, managing subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

There are 4 x substations under this Framework which are located in the Inverness to Aberdeen region. We are looking to appoint teams to start on the ECI which will have you office based for the first 6-12 months, thereafter you will be moved onto completing the work on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate site teams to deliver construction projects in accordance with client requirements and company standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and performance against targets.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement, contract negotiation, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards, implementing appropriate measures to mitigate risks and hazards.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Provide leadership and support to site teams, promoting a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates, financial forecasts, and risk assessments, to senior management and project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in a site management role within the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Sound knowledge of construction techniques, methods, and materials, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards governing construction projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project or Primavera, is advantageous.
