Workshop Operative
Full-time, temp-perm
Outskirts of Bedford (Transport required)
Our client, based on the outskirts of Bedford are market leaders within their field. They are on the look-out for a Workshop Operative to join their small, friendly team on a temporary to permanent basis. On the job training would be involved within this role.
Your own transport is required due to the location.
This role requires some aspects of working at heights, please only apply if you are comfortable with this.
Salary: Starting at £12-£12.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Duties including, but not limited to:
- Hoisting products with an overhead crane (Full training is provided)
- Wrapping finished products and pallets ready for distribution
- Checking final products
- Use of hand tools
- General workshop duties
The person:
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Must have own transport due to location
- Experience of working with hand tools is advantageous
- Willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit
