This role is for a Primary School in Bedford starting Immediately.

We will require the ideal candidate to have 6 + months experience being a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or have the qualification.

Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

Role Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you'll provide invaluable support to teachers and pupils, taking on a range of responsibilities to enhance the educational experience. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead small group sessions, deliver pre-planned lessons, and contribute to the overall development of pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small group interventions and deliver focused learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Support the planning and delivery of lessons, including preparing resources and providing assistance to pupils.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers, helping to identify areas for improvement and support.
  • Assist in the management of the classroom environment, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with additional needs or challenges.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required, such as supervising lunchtimes or supporting extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications, including a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, with a proven track record of supporting teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the school and pupils.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of all pupils.
