We are currently looking to employ a Technical Manager with experience in working with Timber, possessing building skills and demonstrable management skills. This is a manufacturing-based opportunity.

Established in 1994, Dunster House Ltd is a growing family-run, international business currently employing over 420 people across our 11 UK sites.

Over 30 years of designing, manufacturing and retailing garden lifestyle products we are proud to be garden building specialists and distribute our products on our own fleet of vehicles to our customers.

This job is based out of our Bedford Headquarters – MK41 0LF

Job Includes:

  • Signing off any proposed new products before issuing to a factory for pricing in case changes need to be made, and signing off the finished product pre-launch in Marketing.
  • Reviewing existing products to ensure that the instructions for customers are simple to understand.
  • Reviewing materials for the best and most cost-effective use of them in conjunction with our Timber Buyer and Design / Drawing office teams
  • Considering the best use of packing for storage and damage-free packing and movements
  • Ensuring that any products comply with any Statutory Regulations and Best Practices
  • Ensuring Best and Trade practices to ensure the assembly of finished products is windproof and waterproof, as applicable
  • Carrying out site visits
  • Analysing the utilisation of our resources and adherence to the standards required to make the company successful.
  • Constantly being aware of the limitations of our suppliers with the raw materials we need to manufacture cost-effectively.
  • Carry out all other requests from Senior Management on an ad hoc or regular basis as required.

Normal hours of work are Monday – Friday; between 08.30 – 17.30

Requirements:
