A Production Supervisor with experience from a mechanical manufacturing or assembly environment is requited for a busy company in the Bedford area.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations within a mechanical assembly and test facility. You will ensure that safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets are consistently achieved, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Candidates should have previous Supervisory experience gained within a mechanical manufacturing environment. Ideally this will be within heavy mechanical equipment. You will have strong knowledge of machining, assembly, and testing processes for mechanical equipment.
Experience with lean manufacturing tools including 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma etc., would be highly beneficial. You will be proficient in production planning with experience of ERP / MRP.
