As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the costs of construction projects, ensuring financial control and delivering projects within budget. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in quantity surveying, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Cost Management:
Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Contract Administration:
Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Handle variations and claims effectively.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess project risks related to costs and advise on mitigation strategies.
Provide support in dispute resolution and conflict management.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present financial reports to project stakeholders.
Monitor project financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Participate in regular project meetings to provide cost-related updates.
Compliance:
Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to quantity surveying.

Qualifications and Skills:

Groundworks or Civils experience is preferred but not essential
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., Excel, cost estimating software).
